It's all about this girl named Kagome, an average school girl, who gets pulled into the sacred well, behind her house, by a centipede demon, and ends up in feudal Japan. Where She's meets the half demon Inuyasha, who had been pinned to a tree 50 yrs ago by the late priestess Kikyo.

Kikyo was a great priestess, her job was to protect the Shikon jewel from demons. Inuyasha tried stealing the Shikon jewel, which he wants to use to turn himself into a full demon.

After freeing Inuyasha, Kagome comes to find out that she posses the Shikon jewel, and that she's the reincarnation of Kikyo.

She winds up accidently shattering the Shikon jewel, so then Inuyasha and Kagome join together to find the lost pieces.
